NewsEmily Brush Wins Lax Prize May 2003 This year's John Lax Prize, given annually to the graduating senior in American Studies who has done the best work in the field, is Emily Brush. The prestigious award was presented to Emily at this year's "At Home" reception during commencement weekend. Co-presenters were Professor Anthony Lee, Chair of American Studies, and Professor Don Weber, who noted the astonishing breadth and insight of Emily's final research project on the filmic adaptation of Henry James's novels and an emergent impressionist art movement.
