Vanessa Megaw Wins Laurel Fellowship Award

Vanessa Megaw, an American Studies major, class of 2004, recently won a Laurel Fellowship that enables her to study the cultural links between Bolivia and the United States. This coming Spring semester, she will be based in Cochabamba and La Paz, where she will work with Ismael Saavedra, a well-known enthographic film maker, as well as Bolivian professors and community leaders. Says Megaw before she left on her long trip, “During all of these stays, I will be living with host families and sharing in their daily activities. I have always dreamed of this adventure, and I eagerly look forward to the upcoming months.”
