Freeman-Asia Summer Program

Six Mount Holyoke students recently were awarded Freeman-Asia summer scholarships to study the Chinese language at the BLCU summer program in Beijing.

The award recipients are: Annie Wong, Mariko Koyamatsu, Karyn Comeau, Christina Tham, Geraldine Diaz, Shirley Chu.


Prize Winning Essays from the Japanese Language Essay Contest for New England College Students

Nondi Hemphill won the Third Prize in the advanced level during spring 2007. Nida Sanglimsuwan won First Prize in the intermediate level during spring 2008.

At Home Reception for Graduating Seniors

The Asian Studies Program cordially invites you, your family and your friends to our At Home Reception.

We will gather on May 24 from 2:30-4:00 PM at Safford Hall with guests of the History Department and the Medieval Studies Department.

Bridge-America College Soccer Tour 2008

Ten women soccer players from Japanese universities visited MHC from March 27-30. The first-year Japanese students presented their skits, while second and third year Japanese students enjoyed individual discussion sessions with the soccer team. We look forward to hosting them next year.
