STUDY ABROAD AND INTERNSHIPS

Study abroad is highly recommended and may be used to fulfill major requirements. The program has guidelines to study abroad which describe summer, semester, and year-long programs offered for undergraduates by Mount Holyoke and other institutions. Since admission to many study abroad programs is competitive, or may require intermediate level knowledge of a foreign language, students interested in the possibility of studying abroad should consult with members of the program early in their academic careers.

In addition, it is useful to answer the questions below to determine if you are a candidatefor study abroad. If you are concerned with finances associated with studying abroad, you will find more helpful information on the Scholarships webpage, located also on the navigation bar on the homepage.

Please note: You can find more information about these internships and about studying abroad at http://www.mtholyoke.edu/global/. All candidates for the international internships MUST meet with Jale Okay, Director of International Experiential Learning, by February 22, 2008 for a pre-application meeting. Please call the McCulloch Center at x2072 to schedule an appointment. For further questions, please email Jale Okay. To apply for the internships and to receive funding, you MUST submit the Universal Application by March 3, 2008 by 5 pm.
