Molecular Modeling in the Curriculum
Gaussian Tutorial
(Flash)

Welcome to the molecular modeling laboratory at Mount Holyoke College. Molecular modeling is used by chemists to find optimum structures and pathways for chemical reactions. The chemistry curricilum at Mount Holyoke College introduces molecular modeling in general chemistry and in later courses continues to show students how molecular modeling coupled with experiments can be used to understand chemical phenomena. This site provides guides to the hardware and software available in the molecular modeling lab as well as links to how these are used in the curriculum.
