Courses

We recommend that students begin their study of computer science with CS 101. Computer Science 101 teaches problem-solving techniques and provides a thorough introduction to JAVA. A student with a very strong background in JAVA may consider beginning with CS 102. 101 and 102 are offered both semesters.

The department offers courses at the 200 and 300 levels in programming, theory, algorithms, operating systems, software design, and other topics. See the Computer Science chapter of the catalogue for descriptions and prerequisites.
