Meet the Faculty

Composer Peter Jones’s passion for dance music influences his course Analysis of Rhythm, which examines music from a dancer’s perspective.

Rose Flachs is a founder of the Council of Organized Researchers of Pedagogical Studies de Ballet International, Inc., an organization dedicated to the advancement of ballet in higher education.

Before focusing on teaching and scholarly activities, Charles Flachs performed full-time with numerous companies, including the Nashville Ballet, the Cincinnati Ballet, and Ballet West of Salt Lake City.

Terese Freedman and collaborator Jim Coleman have received choreography fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and special project grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Jim Coleman is co-artistic director with Terese Freedman of the Freedman/Coleman Dance Company, which has toured the U.S., Canada, Denmark, Austria, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the People's Republic of China.
