Requirements for the B.A. Degree

The following is an encapsulated presentation of the requirements for the Mount Holyoke BA degree. Full descriptions of these requirements will be found in the Mount Holyoke College Bulletin and Course Catalogue under "Degree Requirements."

Overall Credit Requirements

• 128 Total academic credits required for graduation
• 64 Minimum required in residence at Mount Holyoke during sophomore, junior, and senior years
• 68 Required outside the major department for majors in single departments; not applicable to students within interdisciplinary majors

Normal Progress Toward Graduation

GPA of at least 2.00; 16 credits per semester. Please note that a cumulative GPA of 2.00 is required for graduation, and students who fall below this average during one semester will have to compensate in subsequent semesters.
