Courses Recommended for First-Year Students

  1. We encourage you to consider taking a first-year seminar.
  2. Visit the departments below, and jot down other courses you may wish to take.
  3. For course descriptions, select "This School Year" and then the appropriate department in the Course Catalogue.
  4. You will need to check course meeting times to avoid schedule conflicts when registration opens for fall on June 9, and for spring, November 17.
  5. Please note: courses with "f" = offered in fall, "s" = offered in spring; "fs" = offered in fall and spring.

To explore advance level courses, you may go to ISIS and review courses at any level (100 through 300-level). You will need permission of the instructor to take an upper-level course that carries pre-requisites.
