Anthropology (ANTHRO)
Anthropology is the study of the complex ways of being human. At Mount Holyoke, the discipline of Anthropology engages students in cross-cultural comparison, offering them tools for making sense of the human condition in diverse worlds, no matter how foreign or familiar. Our courses expose students to a variety of cultures and societies, giving them access to local points of view in interactaction with global forces.
