Geology (GEOL)

The geology major provides students with an understanding of earth processes, resources, and history, as well as the evolution of life and the interactions between humans and earth's environments.

First-year students are encouraged to enroll in any of the following courses:

 GEOL-100s  Physical Geology
 GEOL-101f  Environmental Geology
 GEOL-103s  Oceanography
 GEOL-201f  Rocks & Minerals 
 GEOL-202s  History of the Earth 
 GEOL-210f  Plate Tectonics

     
 First-year students may also consider enrolling in:

 CHEM-101f     Introduction to Chemistry
 MATH-101f   Calculus I
