Aude
Dieudé, French Language Fellow
My name, Aude, is pronounced like the word
and poem "Ode", and I am currently the French
Language Fellow at Mount Holyoke College. This fall semester,
I am studying French and francophone cinema in two advanced
seminars: "The New Wave" with Professor LeGouis
at Mount Holyoke, and "Ousmane Sembene", a course
about the Senegalese author and director given by Professor
Gadjigo at Amherst College. I am interested in teaching
French in higher education, which is why I am attending
a practicum at theUniversity of Massachusetts on "Teaching
French and Francophone Literature and Culture", and
an another interesting course entitled "HigherEducation:
Mission and Market". As I enjoy conducting research,
studying, and teaching, I am currently applying for a
French doctorate program in several American graduate
schools. In the long term, I aspire to be a professor
who awakens the curiosity and piques the interest of my
students' as I share my passion for the French language
and francophone culture and literature.
