Kathryn grew up in New Jersey and spent happy interludes in Anchorage, Alaska, and Montpellier, France.  After graduation, she hopes to work for a few years in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to school to get her PhD in French literature, probably with a concentration in the 20th century.  She would also like to study American literature from the same period, too, as well as more recent gender studies and queer theory works.  In additiion, her jewelry-making hobby make become a side job one day.  In the long term, of course, she wants to return to France to live and teach.
