I'm originally from Albany, NY, and graduated from MHC in 2003 with a double major in History and French. I also studied abroad in Sweet Briar's program in Paris during my junior year.
After I graduated, I spent two years in the Poitou-Charente region as an English teaching assistant with the French government's program. I spent most of my school vacations, both as a student in Paris and as a teaching assistant, traveling to different parts of France and Europe.
Needless to say, I grew accustomed to frequent traveling and this was partly what drew me to my current job. I work as a travel operations coordinator at Go Ahead Tours, a division of EF Education First in Cambridge, MA. To describe my job in a nutshell - I send people on vacation and that's a good thing! I've been at my current position for a year and a half and have had the opportunity to go abroad about twice a year.
French continues to be an enjoyable part of my life. I was a member of the French Library of Boston last year and belong to a French ciné club. I try to keep up my knowledge of the language by reading French mystery novels.
