Fatou Gueye

Teaching Assistante

I live in Thiès, which is 60 miles east of Dakar,  with my parents and siblings. When I received my baccalaureat, I went to Dakar to attend Cheikh Anta Diop University, where I lived with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. What I enjoy most are studying, discussing, and exchanging ideas with professors, classmates and friends. I also enjoy gymnastics.

While at Ch A Diop University as an MA student, I specialized in British civilization and literature and received my Master Certification in July 2009, after which I started working on my memoir to complete my Masters degree. In addition to my studies, I am one of the founding members of Thiès Humanist Movement Delta 101created in 2003. It is an interesting and useful project inasmuch as it allows people to interact and help each other. I also enjoy children and am very sensitive to their needs. At some point in the future, I plan to initiate a program that helps children.

In the workforce, I was employed by an estate agency in Dakar as a bilingual assistante.
