| The
Massachusetts Chapter of the AATG established its own listserv
in 1999 in order to simplify and expedite communication
with chapter members .
WHAT
IS A LISTSERV?
Here is a simple definition: a listserv is a communication
tool that offers its members the opportunity to post suggestions
or questions via email to a large number of people at
the same time. When you submit a question or something
that you want to share to the listserv, your submission
is distributed to all of the other people on that list.
The
Massachusetts Chapter Listserv does not function exactly
the same way as do other listserves (such as the AATG
Listserv). It's actually more of a distribution list.
The chapter's webmaster must add your email address to
the list. Then you will get all of the messages sent to
the list. TO PREVENT SPAM WE ARE ONLY ALLOWING ACTUAL
MEMBERS OF THE LISTSERV TO SEND AND RECEIVE MESSAGES!
If
you would like your email address to be added to the listserv,
please contact Donna Van Handle (dvanhand@mtholyoke.edu),
the chapter webmaster. If you are a member and want to
send a message to others on the list, simply click on
the listserv address above. Then you can send your question
or message to the list (as you would with any normal email
address).
