Designed for students in German III on the high school level or college students in elementary German.
Students will undertake a virtual trip to Berlin. They will plan a five day trip to Berlin on a budget of DM 2000. Lufthansa will donate the trip. Students will choose: where to stay;  what to eat; which sights/musuems to visit; how to get around;and what to do in their free time.They also have to schedule a flight and plan a budget. Students will receive the following worksheet:

In addition, students will:
  • Write individual journals describing at least two activities per day in the cities visited.
  • Create 4 postcards with pictures from the net, real photos, real pictures from magazines, etc.
  • Give an oral report with a partner (6-8 minutes in length). Students will use props and/or souvenirs.
  • They will report about their trip using large visual maps and entries from their journals.
