My
name is Linda Chesky Fernandes and I am the owner
of Polka Doll. My father, Larry Chesky, dedicated
his life to the polka music industry. For over 50
years, he made what I view as a very significant
contribution. During that span of time, his father,
my grandfather, Poppa Joe Chesky and my grandmother
Wanda, started a record company called Rex Records
when my father began his career in the music industry
at the age of 14. Polka music and polish culture
have always had a place in the Chesky family and
I am grateful that I have the opportunity to carry
on the legacy that was started by my grandparents
and carried on by my father.

am honored that I have been afforded this opportunity
to promote polka music and hope that through this
venture I can expose a wide range of Polish-Americans
