REU 1998
The students were Sukaina
Alarakhia, Landon Cox, Paul Lambert, Aaron Weinberg, Tom Wexler and
Liangyi Zhao.
They investigated error-correcting codes, in
particular weight distributions of ternary minimal codes, ternary
Zetterberg codes, Melas codes for primes bigger than three, and linear
codes associated to curves of higher genus. This project led to a
senior thesis and will result in two or more publications.
