Mount Holyoke Glee Club, Chorale, and Chamber Singers (Kimberly Dunn, director); and Symphony Orchestra (Eric Benjamin, conductor).Program features the premiere of "Hope is the thing with feathers", text by Emily Dickinson set by Eric Benjamin for audience, choirs, organ, orchestra and birds ad lib. Soprano Anjuli Gunaratne '09 appears with the MHC Orchestra as soloist in Mozart's "Dove sono" from The Marriage of Figaro.

The Jupiter String Quartet, winner of the Cleveland Quartet Award, given by Chamber Music America, a prize which honors and promotes a rising young string quartet whose artistry demonstrates that it is in the process of establishing a major career. Program includes music by Haydn, Shostakovich, Beethoven and Gubaidulina.

The Five College West African Music Ensembles, directed by Faith Conant will play excerpts from Gahu, Agbekor, and Adjogbo, music from southern Togo, Ghana, and Benin. The polyrhythmic music is played on drums of varied pitches, bells, and rattles, and accompanies beautiful songs

Five College Early Music Collegium Concert
Music of the 15th century Johannes Martini and teh 17th century Salamone Rossi. Vocal and instrumental music featuring choir, Renaissance winds and strings, directed by Robert Eisenstein. Martinhi's stunning motet "Salve Regina"and Missa Malheur me bat" are featured on the first part of the program, and Rosi's sonorous settings of Hebrew texts and sonatas for strings will follow.
