President: Maggie McAdam '10
Maggie McAdam

I'm a senior and I study Astronomy and Physics. I plan to do a year of research before I pursue a PhD in Astronomy. I love Chorale; it is my favorite extracurricular activity. My other favorite extracurricular is getting coffee at Rao's.

Manager: Ruth Canter '10
Ruth Canter

Hometown: Ann Arbor, MI
Major/Minor: Biology/Ancient Studies
Activities: CHORALE!, ice hockey, Reduced Shakespeare, food, sleep, music, TV/movies, hanging out with friends, singing all the time, traveling, and jumping off and out of various things (including a plane!)

Treasurer: Anna Baccei '10
Anna Baccei

Anna will graduate from Mount Holyoke in the winter of 2010, right after Vespers. She has been singing with the Chorale every semester since her first year, and is equally happy singing Soprano I or Soprano II. She is a biology major and a music minor, and when not in class you can usually find her at a nearby skating rink (she has been competitively figure skating since the age of six). Although she currently lives in Vermont, she travels 3,000 miles in the summertime to be a river guide in Oregon - both rafting and kayaking. She has been known to get a raft full of paddlers singing in harmony!

Alto Secretary: Rachel Czwartacky '12
Rachel Czwartacky

Rachel is a proud Alto 2 in the Mount Holyoke Chorale. She is currently a sophomore and planning to be an English major, Italian minor. She hopes one day to make wonderful movies and/or put on fantastic plays, and get paid for it. Rachel was born and raised in New York, where she has two cats and a sister, and she can frequently be spotted napping on the green or studying furiously in the Mews.

Soprano Secretary: Miriam Cantor-Stone '12
Miriam Cantor-Stone

Miriam Cantor-Stone, a sophomore, is proud to be Chorale's Soprano Secretary. Miriam is involved in various other campus organizations, but won't list them all because then this would be a very long blurb. In short, Miriam loves singing, knitting, watching movies, and religion (but not necessarily all at the same time.).

Vice President: Jenna McGowan '10
Jenna McGowan

Jenna is a senior studying Anthropology and Spanish with an interest in Medieval Studies, especially in regards to the Catholic Church. She loves to read, write, sing, sew and ask odd questions. She is involved with the literary magazine, the Protestant Deacons, the art museum outreach program and the anime/sci-fi/fantasy club. This is her 3rd year in Chorale and 2nd time serving as Vice President.

Publicity Chair: Grace Hudkins '12
Grace Hudkins

Grace Hudkins is excited to be in her first semester of Chorale, and delighted to be serving as publicist. A first-year student, she is intending to major in Psychology and Education. Originally from New England, she's glad to be back after six years in San Jose, California. She is also active in theatre, and is currently an intern for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). You can often find her chilling with her roommate or munching on grilled veggie wraps from Blanchard!

Social Chair: Sara Cochran '11
Sara Cochran

I'm Sara Cochran and I'm the Social Chair for Chorale! I'm a Junior and a politics major with a German minor. I'll be studying abroad next semester in Germany and after MHC I plan on studying law or Public Policy. One of my main goals is to eventually work with more progressive public policies in government to help improve the quality of life in the U.S. and abroad. My other passions in life are acting and singing! I love to preform and my favorite piece of music that I've done with Chorale are the Rachmaninoff choruses we preformed last year.

Librarian: Katie Mack '13
Katie Mack

My name is Katie Mack, and I am a First Year Spring Admit, so this is my second semester at this gorgeous campus. I am a Math major, and potentially a Music minor. I enjoy anything having to do with pattern and organization, love logic, becoming slowly addicted to the television series "True Blood" and I am a member of MHC's Bellatrix (an anime/sci-fi club here at MHC). I live in Scituate, MA (about an hour south of Boston), I have one sister who is four years younger than me, and I also have a dog named Lucky. I love meeting new people and even though I may not remember a name at first, I almost always remember the face.

Historian: Lara Day '13
Lara Day

My name is Lara Day and I was born and raised in Norwich, Connecticut. I am essentially a geek and techno-nerd. On one hand I love ancient things: books, history, languages (Latin/Greek!). On the other hand I am amazed and obsessed with modern technology; namely my computer, but also my camera. I also know that I could never live without music in my life. Music has been part of who I am since before I was born when my mom would "take me" to her Choir practices. I grew up with my mom singing folk music for lullabies and my dad playing Beatles songs on his guitar at night. Although I have no plans to have a career relating to music, I'm thrilled to be in Chorale my first semester at Mount Holyoke and even more thrilled to be serving as a member of the board.
