![]() Ensemble singing has thrived since Mount Holyoke's founding in 1837, and this vibrant choral culture continues today. MHC is home to three highly successful choirs: the Glee Club, Chorale, and Chamber Singers. We are proud of the high musical standards our choirs have maintained through many generations of choral directors, and we aspire to strengthen our visibility on Mount Holyoke's campus and in our larger community. Our students hail from all over the world, and major in a variety of subjects -- some are music majors and minors, while other study the Sciences, English, Economics, Social Critical Thought, or Philosophy. Choral performances and tours are among the true highlights of a college career, and friendships forged in MHC choral ensembles last a lifetime. Our alumnae remain active by singing in Alumnae choirs, attending concerts on and off-campus, and by keeping in touch with colleagues still at Mount Holyoke. We realize that the choral instrument is a unique and beautiful one, with inherent expressive powers beyond that of wood or metal -- our instrument is the human body! Thanks for stopping by our website. For more information on participating in our program (as a singer, listener, or involved alumna), please email me at kdunn@mtholyoke.edu. All the best, Kimberly Dunn Adams | ||||||||
