Lindsay Pope
Lindsay Summers Pope became the Interim Director of Choral Activities and Visiting Lecturer in Music at Mount Holyoke College in 2011. She conducts the Glee Club, Chorale, and Chamber Singers. Today's Glee Club--currently enrolling approximately 60 members--performs a challenging, varied repertoire for women's voices, as well as major mixed choral works with orchestra in collaboration with the best of the few remaining collegiate men's choirs. The Glee Club and Chamber Singers still perform at important College ceremonies on and off-campus. All of the choral ensembles continue the tradition of presenting the annual Christmas Vespers concerts on campus, in New York City, and in Boston. Choral music at Mount Holyoke is still going strong, with almost 200 students involved in singing every year. For a list of events scheduled for the current school year, please see our Events Calendar. Mount Holyoke College's rich tradition of choral singing marches into the 21st century.
