DAVID SANFORD received a M.M. in Theory, M.M. in Composition from New England Conservatory, and a Master of Fine Arts in Composition and Ph.D in Composition from Princeton University. He has received fellowships from the Concert Artists Guild, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the State of New Jersey Council on the Arts. Mr. Sanford has composed commissioned works for the Meridian Arts Ensemble, Andre Emilianoff, cellist, Concert Artist Guild, Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, and Princeton University Chamber Orchestra among others. His compositions have been performed by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, the Chicago Symphony Chamber Players, the Harlem Festival Orchestra, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
