Meet the Faculty

Gary Steigerwalt has received acclaim as an eclectic artist performing contemporary as well as standard piano repertoire.
Melinda Spratlan says: "That moment when a student's voice suddenly encompasses that heretofore unreachable high note, subtly blends registers, or can support a longer phrase, never ceases to fill me with delight."
Larry Schipull, internationally recognized organist, harpsichordist, and fortepianist, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia.
David Sanford has been called "a composer in the American tradition of brash, open-eared exploration: no material is too exalted or too debased for him to transform into his living art."
Performance norms for Franco-Netherlands secular music of the late fifteenth century, Schubert's song cycles, Brahms's Fourth Symphony—these are among Louise Litterick's wide-ranging interests.

"Playing an instrument is the ultimate liberal arts contextual experience," asserts violinist and teacher Linda Laderach.
