The philosophy department is proud to welcome our Stine speakers for the 2007-08 academic year. All talks will be held from 4:15-6:00pm, followed by a reception. All talks will be held in Skinner 216 unless otherwise noted.

A.W. Eaton (University of Illinois at Chicago) will speak on October 11 on "What is This Thing For? (On Artifacts and Their Functions)"

Sean Sayers (University of Kent) will speak on October 25 on "Ethics and the Modern World: a critique of Alasdair MacIntyre"

Louise Antony (University of Massachusettts, Amherst) will speak on November 15 on "The Socialization of Epistemology"

Tamar Szabo Gendler (Yale University) will speak on March 13.

Steve Horst (Wesleyan College) will speak on April 24.
