To receive a major in philosophy, students must complete a certain minimum number of credits, where a portion of these credits
come from a certain set of core areas.
In some cases, the department may allow appropriate courses from other departments or institutions to satisfy requirements
for a student's major. A worksheet for assessing which requirements have been met is available in the Philosophy Department office.
