Mrs. Morrell started working at MHC in 1970. She worked for the Alumnae Association for 13 years, then moved to the Sloan Project and started working part-time with the physics department in 1984. Cindy became "full-time" in physics in 1990. She keeps track of the faculty, staff, students, and the candy dish, as well as keeping in touch with physics alumnae. She writes an annual newsletter to keep alumnae up to date on department activities. She also began working for the Astronomy Department in the fall of 1998.

In addition, she has been an active volunteer for the college with her local alumnae club and her class, serving as president from 1993-2003 and being a class agent for a number of years. Both her mother and daughter are MHC alumnae as well ('39 and '95).
