Fiona Somers
Fiona Somers, upon graduating from Smith College with a major in East Asian studies, worked for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Primary Care Information Project. Fiona completed her pre-medical studies through the postbaccalaureate program and was accepted to Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Students who want to prepare for a medical career would be hard-pressed, Fiona says, “to find a more supportive environment in which to take on a new challenge.”
