Peter Cleary
Peter Cleary completed his undergraduate degree in geology at Brown University and a master's degree in environmental science at the University of Virginia. He then worked as an educator at the New England Aquarium and as a newspaper reporter in New Hampshire. Interviewing health care workers for his newspaper stories encouraged Peter to revisit his earlier experiences with dentistry (his father is a dentist), and in 2007 Peter entered the postbaccalaureate program to complete his course work and gain clinical experience.
In addition to science courses, Peter took a sculpture course in Mount Holyoke's studio art program in order to become more familiar with creating detailed, three-dimensional objects. After interning with a local dentist and working as an emergency room scribe at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Peter was accepted to Harvard University's School of Dental Medicine.
