Advising

All students in the Postbaccalaureate Pre-Health Program receive individualized advising suited to their academic goals.

The Dean of Pre-Health Programs, Dr. David Gardner, serves as the academic advisor to all postbaccalaureate students, and also teaches the initial biology class that postbacs take in the program. Dr. Gardner received his B.S. from Trinity College and his Ph.D. from Duke University.

The Committee on the Health Professions

This advisory group comprises the dean of Pre-Health Programs and science faculty who are highly knowledgeable about the Mount Holyoke and Five College curricula, medical schools, and research/internship opportunities. All members of the committee are available to provide guidance and answer questions. The committee will also write a composite letter of recommendation to accompany your medical school application.
