Gorse Child Study Center is the laboratory school for the Department of Psychology and Education at Mount Holyoke College. The Center serves 54 young children, ages 3 to 6, in a planned but flexible learning environment. There are four half-day programs: three preschool groups (two in the morning and one in the afternoon) and an afternoon kindergarten. The class size is between 12 and 14 children. The program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
