The
stakes of the 2004 Presidential election are high. The
increased threat of terrorism and the conflicting views
about its origins will be a major factor in determining the
outcome of the election. The outcome will define the national
culture and
determine global relations for generations. In a semester-long
series of public conversations and events, the Weissman
Center for Leadership and the Liberal Arts invited
journalists, scholars, and cultural figures to address the
precarious state of a changing
world.
