Teacher
Ext. 2039
BA, Mount Holyoke College
I am interested in issues which pertain to young children's
development, in particular - the influence of listening
skills and affect on the development of children's social
competence. My interests also include exploring the
use of humor as a teaching tool in the early childhood
classroom. In my work with young children, I also struggle
with finding ways to best support them as they encounter
and experience the ever-increasing impact of media and
social violence in their world. Additionally a strong
interest has evolved in learning ways to support young
children with autism and their families as they enter early
childhood programs for the first time.
