Things to Look ForInformational Sessions: Info sessions are run during the fall semester for students regarding the teacher licensure programs. See the Campus Life: Workshops, Seminars & Training section of the MHC Events Calendar for announcements of the date. January Term Courses: In previous years the Education Division has offered Educ 332j, Observing and Assisting in Secondary and Middle School Educational Programs and Educ 324j, Observing and Assisting in Early Childhood and Elementary Settings. Beginning in January 2007, these two January term courses will be combined into one course, Educ 320j Observing and Assisting in Inclusive Classrooms. This JTerm course provides students a first hand glimpse into the American educational system and offers them the unique opportunity to work with children in a school site or other educational setting where daily supervised interaction is available. The course involves a three week field placement in an approved educational setting anywhere in the country. Although this courses is required for students seeking Teacher Licensure, any student with an interest in education may enroll. Students considering this course should be aware that there are two mandatory meetings at the college BEFORE registration for the course begins and one mandatory meeting after the course ends. Students who do not attend all three course meetings will not receive credit for the course. Meeting dates for the this course are posted below.
