Office
of the Registrar
The Office of the
Registrar is located on the ground floor of Mary Lyon Hall. This
building was erected in 1897 on the site of Mount Holyoke's original
seminary
building, which had burned down just a year earlier in 1896.
The building was designed by the architectural firm of Gardner,
Pyne, and Gardner. It houses the administrative offices, classrooms,
and chapel.
An important resource
on campus, the Office of the Registrar creates, maintains, and
distributes student and alumnae academic records. The office also
answers questions about registering for Mount Holyoke College
or Five College courses, about degree requirements outside major
fields, and about how to complete registration-related paperwork.
