Over the course of the
2005-2006 school year, Kailtyn Wild '06 conducted an independent
study with Prof. Pleshakov with the goal of writing a senior honors
thesis. On 10 May 2006, she defended her work entitled: Sports
and Politics: Ice Hockey in Russia, 1946-2006.
While spending multiple
semesters studying in Russia, Amanda Smith '06 has conducted
research into the underground punk-rock scene in St. Petersburg
and has written a zine entitled: Sex, Droogs, and Rock ' Roll.
