Academic Deans

The academic deans help students develop strategies for success by assisting with course selection and major declaration, addressing issues related to credit shortages or overloads, preparing students for internships or studying abroad, monitoring academic progress toward meeting graduation requirements, and nominating students for honors and awards. Since they work closely with faculty and many on-campus offices, the academic deans are positioned to help students understand the many resources available here at Mount Holyoke College.

The Office of Academic Deans is open Monday-Friday from 9:00-5:00.  The deans are available for scheduled appointments (15-30 minutes) during their office hours, or you may come during one of their drop-in hours for a quick conversation (priority is given to students who are experiencing an emergency).  It is preferable for you to schedule an appointment with the dean for your class year.
