Getting Here

Mount Holyoke has a long history of advising international students on visa and immigration matters, directions and transportation to campus, and information on adjusting to American life.

I-20/Visa Information

Mount Holyoke's McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives is responsible for advising students and faculty about visa and immigration regulations and procedures. The McCulloch staff acts as both advisers and advocates for international students.

Travel and Directions

Only 145 kilometers (90 miles) west of Boston and 240 kilometers (150 miles) north of New York City, Mount Holyoke is located in South Hadley, Massachusetts, in the Five College area of the Pioneer Valley. (The Five Colleges are Mount Holyoke, Smith, Amherst, and Hampshire, as well as the University of Massachusetts.) The College is 56 kilometers (35 miles) north of Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut.

Orientation

Every year the Office of the Dean of Students offers both a fall and spring orientation for international students. Students learn about American life and classroom culture, as well as about immigration regulations, tax forms, and Social Security cards.
