Academic Advising

The Mount Holyoke academic advising system has as its guiding principle the belief that academic advising is a natural component and extension of faculty teaching. The primary academic issues in advising international students have to do with previous language experience and the advanced nature of courses in many international educational systems. An additional component of advising international students is the recognition of social and cultural adjustments that are superimposed on the normal developmental transitions for these students.

Religious and Spiritual Life

Mount Holyoke is one of the few liberal arts colleges in the country to actively support nine faith groups on campus. Whether you adhere to one particular faith or are a nondenominational seeker looking for a spiritual home or homes here, you will have many opportunities to learn about, explore, and participate in a wide range of traditions and activities. Eliot House, the center of spiritual life at Mount Holyoke, bustles with students, faculty, and staff who attend the many programs, lunches, workshops, services, feasts, and festivals that are held there.
