Overnight Visits
An overnight visit in one of the College’s 19 residence halls offers an opportunity to spend time with a Mount Holyoke student and experience what campus life is really like.

Mount Holyoke College offers overnight visit in the fall for students who are 16 years or older and in their senior year of high school. Overnights are also available for transfer students.
Additional overnight options are available for admitted students in conjunction with our admitted student programs in April.

What happens during an overnight visit?
On the day of your visit, you’ll meet a student adviser in the Office of Admission at 4 pm. She’ll escort you to your assigned residence hall, where you’ll connect with your student host and meet other students so you’ll get multiple perspectives on life at MHC. You’ll have dinner and breakfast with your host in the residence hall. A classroom visit may also be arranged if you wish.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring:
- a pillow
- a sleeping bag
- a towel
- toiletries
We also encourage you to bring homework or a book because your host will likely have some studying to do during the course of your visit.
What about family and others traveling with me?
For parents or others traveling with prospective students, the Willits-Hallowell Center is Mount Holyoke’s on-campus hotel and conference center. Space is limited so please reserve your room as early as possible. There are alternative accommodations and restaurants in the area as well.
