Message from Rene Davis, Dean of Students
“I am delighted to welcome you to our Orientation program. Sending a loved one to college is life-changing milestone for the entire family. Mount Holyoke recognizes and relishes in the fact that a Mount Holyoke education is not only a transformative experience for our students but their families as well. Together, you and your student are embarking on a special opportunity to learn about the “the world” in an environment that fosters learning, develops critical skills, and bolsters resilience... Whether this is your first time bringing a loved one to college or your fifth, I believe you will find this orientation thought provoking and informative. Welcome to our Mount Holyoke family!”

Important News from the Office of Student Financial Services
Don't Miss Out on Savings of $1,655!
All students are automatically enrolled in and charged for the student health insurance plan—$1,655 this year. A domestic student with existing health insurance that meets or exceeds Massachusetts state requirements AND is available while she is enrolled at MHC may waive the College’s health insurance plan. The waiver process must be completed online by September 4, 2013, or the charge will remain on the student account. Once the waiver is completed, a confirmation email is sent acknowledging the request for waiver; a second email is sent when the waiver request is approved or denied. More information and waiver instructions.
Students should sign up for SALT, a financial management program offered to Mount Holyoke students and alums. SALT offers students a comprehensive and engaging way to understand the impact of educational debt and other finance issues. Once they enroll, they will have full access to the SALT website including Money Coach, job search, and member savings.
Are you an “authorized user” for your daughter’s student account? Student Account activity is now on the CASHNet site with the eBill and is now accessible to both students AND authorized users. Students should use ISIS to set up authorized users in CASHNet if they have not already done so. Authorized users receive eBill notifications and have access to the eBill, Student Account Activity, and can set up payment plans.
Students can now purchase plans that will cover 85% of paid charges (less financial aid) when students must take a medical leave (any medical leave). Subscribers can also choose the amount of coverage that will be reflected in the premium. Find out more about our Tuition Insurance policies.
