Mountain Day 2013On Tuesday, October 1, the bells rang and MHC students (and alumnae around the world!) celebrated the beloved tradition of Mountain Day.

The Women in Public Service ProjectMHC and Smith will cohost The Women in Public Service Project with programs for emerging women leaders from post-conflict societies in Asia, early next summer—from May 25 through June 6, 2014—in partnership with the U.S. State Department and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

The LynkThe Lynk Initiative: Linking the Liberal Arts to Powerful Career and Life Application. MHC uses embedded practitioners in the classroom to bring together traditional liberal arts learning with real-world application. See what happened in the Politics & Rhetoric course when students participated in a campaign simulation.

Professor Audrey St JohnStudents will benefit from Professor Audrey St. John’s nearly half-million dollar National Science Foundation grant funding her ongoing work in robotic research.

MHC Athletics Hall of FameAthletics Hall of Fame (and Tickets to Dinner).The Mount Holyoke College Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee announces the seven individuals and one team have been chosen as the inaugural induction class into the Mount Holyoke Athletics Hall of Fame. All will be inducted at Mount Holyoke's Inaugural Hall of Fame Banquet which will be held during Family & Friends Weekend on October 19. Tickets for the induction ceremony are available for purchase through the Department of Athletics. To request a ticket application, email Joan Perez or call (413) 538-2310.

Upcoming Events

We hope to see you for Family & Friends Weekend October 18-20, 2013. This year, programming begins on Friday afternoon with the LEAP Symposium, the College's annual showcase of student research projects and internship experiences and also includes inaugural events for MHC’s Athletics Hall of Fame. Final planning in still in process, but you can preview scheduled events and make your plans now!
