Scholar in Residence Talk

"Gender Boundaries: Professor Elizabeth Adams and the Zoology Department at MHC, 1914-1957"

Mary Elizabeth Strunk, LITS 2007 Scholar-in-Residence and a visiting assistant professor of women’s studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, will talk about the life and career of Professor A. Elizabeth Adams ‘14, who taught zoology courses at Mount Holyoke from 1914 to 1957. The talk will describe Professor Adams’ influence on the young field of endocrinology and several generations of young women scientists.
