A Fair Field Needing Folk

A Fair Field Needing Folk: Women Medievalists at Mount Holyoke, 1902-2009
March 15-May 15, 2009

Extraordinary distinctions held by the women medievalists at Mount Holyoke include being appointed the first female President of the American Historical Association, a Chair of the Medieval English Section of the Modern Language Association, Fellow and First woman president of the Medieval Academy of America, President of Mount Holyoke College, & President of the North American Branch of the International Courtly Literature Society.  An exhibit of photographs, news articles, books, and manuscripts depicting the accomplishments of the women medievalists at Mount Holyoke, and the medieval studies program, is now on display in the Archives and Special Collections lobby.
