Every year the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum welcomes more than 1,000 school-age students to our galleries in a continuing collaboration to support curriculum objectives and integrated, interdisciplinary learning. School group visits are free of charge.
Our Programs are designed to:
- Develop thinking skills that include making observations, brainstorming, reasoning, reflecting and considering the ideas and viewpoints of other people and other cultures
- Cultivate personal connections to art
- Stimulate curiosity about the unfamiliar and nurture openness to new experiences
- Encourage the exploration of meaning in diverse cultures and complex art objects
For more detailed information regarding school programs, please visit the Teach section of this site.
School visits may be scheduled by contacting Education Coordinator Jane Gronau at 413.538.2085.
