Mission

The Mount Holyoke College Art Museum provides direct experience with original works of art through the development, preservation, and presentation of a comprehensive permanent collection augmented by interdisciplinary exhibitions, publications, and programs.

In keeping with the mission, the Museum:

• Acquires and cares for art and artifacts of aesthetic, cultural, and historic merit in accordance with professional museum standards.
• Integrates its collections, exhibitions, publications, interpretive programs, and scholarly research with the curriculum of the College and the interests of the general public.
