These have included Diane Arbus: Family Albums (2004-2006) and Jane Hammond: Paper Work (2007-2009).  Please note that opening and closing dates of the following exhibitions are subject to change and must be confirmed with the participating museums.

The Museum is pleased to announce its next traveling exhibition for the fall of 2010:

Wine and the Human Spirit: Ritual, Remedies, and Revelry
2 September-12 December 2010

In September 2010, the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum will present Wine and the Human Spirit: Ritual, Remedies, and Revelry, an exhibition about the transformative powers of wine. The evidence from which it draws is primarily art historical, but textual sources—both literary and scientific—also play an important role in marking its course through Western history. The story is timeless, beginning in the Neolithic period and continuing until the present day, and will be told through a variety of works of art including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, and graphic works. It will be the first exhibition in the United States to treat the subject of wine and art in a historically comprehensive fashion.
