Stalls
Stall dimensions are 10’ x 12’ or 12’ x 12’, depending on availability. The stalls are bedded with sawdust or shavings. We make every effort to put larger horses in larger stalls. Assignment of stalls is entirely at the discretion of the stable manager.
Feed
The Equestrian Center provides two types of feed:
- a 10 percent protein, 12 percent fat, 10 percent fiber feed containing less than 3 percent sugar. Current research is supporting the benefits of a low carb, high fat diet for horses.
- an extruded senior feed for easy digestion that is 14 percent protein, 4.5 percent fat, 12.5 percent fiber
Up to 12 quarts a day are provided without additional charge.
If a boarder prefers to feed something other than what we offer, she is welcome to do so at her own expense. The boarder will need to provide her own grain, in an appropriate container, and prepare her horse’s meals in advance for barn staff to distribute. Salt blocks are provided.
We ask that boarders supply any additional supplements using the SmartPak system. Boarders receive a SmartPak discount by having their SmartPaks shipped to the Equestrian Center. Boarders will incur extra charges if they do NOT use SmartPak unless the supplement they are using is not provided by SmartPak.
The Equestrian Center feeds a timothy and grass mix hay four times daily.
Turnout
There are 16 well-fenced all-weather sand, hot-wired, turnout paddocks. The Equestrian Center will provide daily turnout. Any additional turnout must be done at the owner’s discretion and supervision, and is contingent on paddock availability.
