Voted one of the 20 most influential horse people in the country by Spur magazine, C. J. Law has been a vital part of the highly successful staff at the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center for more than 20 years. She directs a physical education program with over 150 riders per week and coaches the region’s most successful intercollegiate hunt seat team. She also serves as a board member of the IHSA organization and as IHSA Zone President. On top of all that, Law is the mother of four children all under the age of 15.
C. J. founded the IHSA Senior Academic Achievement Awards and was awarded for her innovative ideas promoting sportsmanship in the IHSA by being named Lifetime Achiever at the 1998 National IHSA Horse Show. In addition to competing at the open level in the IHSA in her college days, Coach Law also rode and trained her horse, Nobody’s Perfect, to the intermediate level in eventing. She now enjoys riding dressage at third level and working with green training projects, specifically pony hunters and jumpers.
